About our yurts
Come and unplug in one of our two Mongolian off-grid yurts. If you’re looking to connect to nature, listen to birdsong, the flow of the river and wind in the trees away from the modern distractions you’ve come to the right place. It’s glamping at it’s best. Comfortable, relaxing and close to nature. Mongolian yurts are beautiful spaces with a special feel to them. The Mongolian word for a yurt is ‘gert’ meaning ‘home’. This simple space contains everything you need to feel at home. You can connect to the beautiful Welsh outdoors without giving up the comfort of a cosy warm space.
We’re located within walking distance of Llanbrynmair village where you will find a shop, a cafe and a pub. Further afield you’ll find Clywedog Dam and reservoir where you can rent a boat and try fly fishing. The nearest beach is in scenic Aberdovey about 20 miles away. The entrance to Snowdonia National Park is only 20 minutes away with Snowdon itself about 2 hours away. Just on our doorstep is Hafren Forest with the source of the River Severn, the longest river in the UK. We’re only 16 miles away from the market town of Machynlleth which was the ancient capital of Wales. Here you will find many cafes and independent shops and also the Centre for Alternative Technology. To discover more our area you can go to www.visitmidwales.co.uk or www.showmewales.co.uk
What people are saying about our yurts
Great location and peaceful, had everything we needed and the family were so accommodating. Alistar helped us out so much when we had car troubles and was very responsive to my messages. So happy we booked this place

Dead nice! Spacious and beautiful! Felt so at home and grounded, was our first time in a yurt and went out to the local village for food and drink at the pub and immediately felt like part of the community.
The yurt was breathtaking and would 100% stay again! So comfortable and stunning location. Thank you sooooo much!

An absolute gem of a place! Alistair welcomed us on arrival and showed us around the yurt. His lovely little girl told us all about the animals on the smallholding too. It had everything we needed for our overnight stay. The yurt is stunning – so colourful and cosy. We spent the whole evening chatting by the fire and listening to the river run by. Peaceful, quiet, private. An ideal retreat for the night and would visit again in a heartbeat!
